Heavy spoilers obviously.

After we learn Emet-Selch's true name is Hades, and the ancient we spoke with while waiting for our permit was named Hythlodaeus, it's pretty clear the Ancients all had Greek names. Well, maybe not all the Ancients, but the two we are connected with do.

I'm wondering if all high ranking Ascians have Greek names, and if so, what do you think the WoL's true name is, seeing as how it's all but confirmed we are an Ancient?

I'm going to go with Artemis. No, not because I'm biased but because in Greek mythology, Artemis is the Phaesporia, meaning the Light Bringer.

And that's what the Ascians call us, the Bringer of Light. Which probably means we also had something to do with creating Hydaelyn. It may have even been our idea.

You would think that I would know by now that almost everything in this game is a reference to something or someone in the Final Fantasy Universe. That's what I get for never having played any other FF game.

I honestly doubt it would be Artemis, seeing as how they would most likely have to use a more gender neutral name.
