Letting the goat out of the bag: Ovim Fleece

This is going to crash the Ovim Fleece price, I hope!

Now, you can farm fates for gemstones, but even on average of 2.5 min per fate for an hour you are looking at roughly 144 Ovim Fleece from it.

But there is a better way, and I highly recommend you bring your DPS class out with your chocobo and be level 80. In northwest Amg Araeng (Level 76 area roughly). Also known as The Northern Hills of Amber. There are Ovim Nannies and Billies and you will have to kill one at a time, except maybe in one spot or two where you can grab two or three together. Each one can drop up to 8 Ovim fleece per kill, including HQ. You can also get Ovim meat from them ranging in 1-3 and can also be HQ.

In 30 minutes I averaged about 100 NQ fleece, plus some HQ fleece and meat. Of course, since no one else is out here there was no competition, but this will likely change after I post this. Your mileage may vary on drop rate. It was 30 minutes based on chocobo out time.

Enjoy the new farm spot for fleece. Was using DNC with i430 + chocobo for heals.

Gotta admit making ovim wool is crazy expensive! 3 yarns for 1 wool, each yarn costs 4 fleece + 1 refined natron that uses salt from a legendary rock deposit! Really not looking forward to making this stuff to level weaving, especially the recipes that use 3 wool. It could do with lowering the amount of ingredients or at least being able to make double the quantity.

I could do with the rock salt coming from something that isn't a timed node.
