The issue you are experiencing doesn't necessarily have to be with your home network or the game servers. It's more likely that you are running into a routing issue along your way to the server. If you have tried the standard troubleshooting we have suggested in other threads and your new router doesn't resolve the issue, it looks like this may be the issue, especially if you experience disconnections at certain times of the day.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
I appreciate the response, but as I said in my original post. I HAVE tried everything, for a very very long time mind you. either way so far so good on my end, go figure my last resort was the one that fixed it. I did get a new line to my house from comcast throughout this journey, 2 box upgrades (which I now know were shite), new splitters and lines for the existing ones ran. all of this for free. so thank you for that at least LOL

The 90002 disconnect are still an issue on Cactur 4 d/c's in under an hour. Plus massive latency issues in instanced areas. Raids are by far the worst. I maintain a strong internet connection while this happens. Meaning issues zeros issue with anything except FF14. Something up with your instance servers. The d/c's and lag exclusive to these areas of the game.

    Hello!

I hope you don't mind me joining this thread. Unfortunately the thread I started, here, was closed for some reason. Maybe it's because I had one good day where the issues didn't happen, maybe it was because someone thought my thread was too similar to this one and wanted to prune the forum some. I don't know because I didn't get a message explaining why my thread was closed

... regardless I'm still having issues with instanced content and 90002 errors.

It only happens in the middle of instanced content - not when loading in or out of them. It isn't a time out but instead a sudden, abrupt disconnect. It seems like there's something specific to how instances handle connections since I can play world content for hours without a single disconnect.

One thing that seems to help is resetting my router before I play. I experienced a disconnect in a leveling roulette dungeon, but after resetting my router I was able to run an instance without issue. Since I average 2 disconnects with dungeon I consider this to be a good result. I plan to do more testing this weekend.

Honestly if it turns out that resetting my router is a reliable treatment to the problem that'd be great. It's an annoying thing to do, but at least it can be done. I just wish I knew why it is only instanced content that causes disconnects.
