For me, it's not about 'being more right'. It's just an opinion, and that's all ANY of us have. People post more than 'yes' or 'no' because there is more to say than 'yes' or 'no'. I would rather have explained my opinion than simply said "NO I DON'T LIKE YOUR IDEA," because I do like your idea to an extent. Basically, I think you're 'onto something' and I want to expand on it. If people didn't elaborate on their opinions, you would not have changed the original OP, as you said you did. This is an open discussion where everyone can participate.

I went back and read the first response (and then recalled that I had read it before, when I first became involved in this thread). I do not think the original response was intended to be rude toward you. I think the person was just joking. Had I seen that post in response to my thread, I probably would have just laughed it off or ignored it (because it is essentially not a part of the active discussion). Every sort of 'entitlement' you get in a videogame is jokingly referred to as an 'epeen extension' because everyone thinks they're SO COOL because they have a better piece of equipment/title/achievement than someone else.

I think you are taking people's posts too seriously. I think you are getting offended too easily, and people are then turning around and getting annoyed as a result. Don't take things so seriously. It's just a game and we're all just talking about some imaginary thing on some imaginary world. By becoming defensive toward things that may or may not be insults (many of them are gray areas), you are 'fueling the fire'.
