Hey, i'm not saying i disagree, in fact if it helps..sure throw my vote in...i was just more thinking we have already gotten a few cool things. ...But come to think about it...i mean alpha, beta, people at launch who stuck around...should maybe be saluted in a way...a title wouldn't be a horrible idea. ...You got my vote.

We already have an onion helm and those boots if you came directly from XI. I don't feel like I need a title... Besides, the goobbue mount is disappearing after 2.0 so I suppose that's 'exclusive'.
What about the people who started with launch, became upset when they realized it wasn't what they thought, quit, and are now returning after over a year to a game that is MUCH more enjoyable? Should they get a Vet title too? I don't think it's the same, and it's definitely not going to be as exclusive as you think.
To be honest, the PS3 is an outdated system at this point. As an example... Skyrim, which can run easier on computers than FFXIV currently can, looks pretty terrible on even an HDTV when compared to PC. It's simply because the PS3 cannot handle a lot. Although they are going to reduce the amount of things that needs to be processed (by reducing the zone size), the textures are NOT going to be even CLOSE to up-to-par with the PC version that came out over a year and a half ago. What's my point in saying this? I think the PS3 launch is going to be underwhelming.
Anyway, there are a LOT of us who started in the beginning and continued playing (casually or hardcore). There are even MORE of us who started in the beginning, didn't play for a year+ because the game wasn't up to par, and have now started playing again. That HUGE sum of people making up 'veterans' means that your 'exclusive' title will be JUST as common as a goobbue. Everyone will be wearing it proudly, and then the title will fall out of use because so many people have it...
Now... my own suggestion?
A title for completing as much of the main storyline as you can during this, the CURRENT era. This would show DEDICATION to the game (not just the amount of time the account has been 'alive') and interest. To complete the main storyline, you need to have a 50, and you need to put some effort in. Perhaps a similar title could be given to people who reached a certain rank in their GC before the next Era. THOSE would be nice titles to have.
For just activating on launch day? Meh.

Thanks for posting your opinion.
40 ppl disagree with you.
Believe it or not some of us have actually played this game on a regular basis since day 1. Either way, it's good you spoke your mind on the subject.

Thanks for telling me 40 people disagree with me?
I wasn't trying to be harsh or rude... just sharing my opinion ...as you said. Everyone's entitled to it, and because the dev team tends to listen to people, you may just get your wish... and if you do, I won't complain about it (just as I didn't jump on the 'I hate this goobbue because it's too easy to get' bandwagon when that whole thing went down).
I'm just saying that a title that's slightly harder to earn (and not just having 'activated' on launch day, or kept playing after pay-to-play) might be a nicer way to recognize dedication and hard work BEFORE relaunch. So if anything... I'm trying to suggest a way to make it even more exclusive to 'dedicated' people... and you did suggest a 'dedicated' title. >_>;;
If you want to be more accurate
40 people want something for nothing
I can make a post talking about how all vendor prices should be doubled and id get 100 likes easily, just cuz itd mean people would get more without having to do anything

Plus there isn't a "like this post if you oppose" comment. A lot of people just read this crap and close the window.

Oh definitely, i by no means took it ad rude nor did I intend rudeness either. Just stating facts. Thanks for telling me 40 people disagree with me?

I know a good few ppl who share my enthusiasm in this interest.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I thought maybe you were upset because I saw you post simply "thanks for your opinion" and then edited it to include the rest, like it was an afterthought. It's not really my place to speak, but I looked at other posts in this thread and noticed that you seem to be defensive in response to a lot of these posts that disagree with you... even when people aren't necessarily shooting your idea down, but expanding on it and taking it in different directions. (Some people are outright rude, but meh... forget them. Also, sorry people are derailing your thread.)
Like you said, 40 people like your idea. The 'likes' count for something so don't worry if some people don't like it completely. And, I wouldn't have even thought to expand on your idea of title rewards for being a veteran if you didn't post it in the first place.

Hey this is great. Can I get something for being an ALPHA tester that shows I have seniority over CE players? I mean, why not while we are at it.
