I've "done something" everyday I've logged into FFXIV since Sep 21 2010. You call that doing nothing?

You seem to confuse doing something with just existing.

Yoshi stated before that we would get some kind of "reward" on our character that "You can tell from just looking at the character" that we participated in this special story line. I think that's kinda cool. (I been around since Alpha but remade my account buncha times..oh well.)

Although the playtime achievement sounds nice. Hrm..Aion have rewards like this..(or more) each month or so..they give out a reward, the longer you stay the more cool stuff you get (Like special wings, really cool items and stuff as a thank you for people who have stuck by all this time) I used to look forward to it. I doubt SE would implement something like that (From my experiences with FFXI...but you never know?)

Players kill lvl 1 mobs for Butchers Crown. Is that cheating as well?

The Achievement won't be so easy to obtain. I stated in my OP that the count would start from FFXIVs earliest launch day which means that the requirements would have to be atleast measured by days.

Even the first Achievement would be something like a years playtime.

These are Achievements for devoted players: not ppl who have only played a month or so.

Unless you or someone else are hacking SEs servers which count your time played or you've mastered time travel, then your definition of "cheating" is obviously ridiculous.

just leaving you pc on for weeks is a dumb achievement imo then.

I must have missed something, what does leaving your character logged in while afk have anything to do with what OP is asking for?

I thought the post is about a title for people that started playing this game a long time ago. I don't care if some of them didn't play and just left their characters on.. all i really care about is my title lol..

because in a post the op suggest using time played as a mechanic to figure out who deserves it.

Dude, I don't think you've read it because i already posted in this thread ahead of you. I still don't get what you are asking because it doesn't matter how long you leave your character logged in, it only matters WHEN you started. But obviously you have not read this post so stfu pls.

SWTOR has a title reward for people who began the game in when it first came out - "Founder". Don't see why FFXIV couldn't easily implement something similar.

I want level 1 novelty weapons that are made entirely out of the bells we had to ring for the christmas/new years events. BELLS FOREVER.

But I really do like the idea of having novelty titles for people who have stuck with FFXIV.
