    Lancer MP abilities

Has anyone noticed that among the DD classes, we LNC are not given any elemental attacks? GLA gets RLB, PGL gets Seismic Shock, etc.

I think it would be nice if we could get an thunder elemental ability, similar to the FFXI DRG ws's. Maybe it could be implemented similarly to our DD/Debuff nature and have a nifty debuff effect as well.

I found it strange that Lancers have fairly high MP compared to the other Disciples of War, yet had no MP-using skills, like the ones you mentioned. A few lightning-based weapon skills with appropriate electrical debuffs definitely would be a welcome edition to the class, and would give us something to spend all that excess MP on.

I'm not sure but I guess most of the lancer's ws are lightning based (take a look at the background of the ws icons) except Moonrise wich is Astral and Chaos Thrust wich is Umbral, the only thing is that they don't need MP; this is definitely something that needs testing.

About the unused MP pool this makes me thinking that Lancer could be an awsome buffer class with the proper build.

I'm not very familiar to LNC (only r26) but following the info from YG neither chaos thrust or moonrise have elemental damage. By their info, LNC really has no elemental WS.

Well, but maybe its because maybe they're holding it for elemental breathes since they're LNC/DRG "signature skills", just like jump. At FFTA series, the dragoons use the breath themselves, not requiring the pet as in XI so i'd expect similar feature here.

Yeah, I noticed this too when playing lancer, absolutely no elemental skills. But I do have a question regarding DoW Elemental skills. Is INT played in to the equation? or is it just STR + ELEMENTAL= DAMAGE? If so would INT or STR be more important if focusing on the damage output.

    Primary Attributes
The Primary Attributes on a character govern their physical, magical, crafting, and gathering prowess. Each category of Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Intelligence, Mind, and Piety form the basis for how well a character can fight, create, and acquire. They can be increased through the use of Attribute Points.

Strength - Increases physical weapon damage, increases shield block (damage prevented) Synthesizing: Blacksmith (primary tool), Armorer (secondary tool) Gathering: Botanist

Vitality - Physical defense, increase HP (For Disciples of War, 1 vitality = 14-15 HP. For Disciples of Magic 1 vitality = 8-10 HP) Synthesizing: Carpenter (primary tool), Armorer (secondary tool), Leatherworker (primary tool) Gathering: Miner

Dexterity - Physical weapon accuracy, chance to evade, critical hit rate, parry rate (some weapons) Synthesizing: Goldsmith (primary tool), Weaver (primary tool), Carpenter (secondary tool) Gathering: Fishing

Mind - Magic spell defense, healing spell potency (+1 HP per 2 mind), increases MP (For Disciples of War 1 mind = 2-3 MP. For Disciples of magic, 1 mind = 9-10 MP) Synthesizing: Culinarian (primary tool), Blacksmith (secondary tool), Weaver (secondary tool) Gathering: Miner

Intelligence - Offensive magic spell potency Synthesizing: Alchemist (primary tool), Goldsmith (secondary tool), Leatherworker (secondary tool) Gathering: Botanist

Piety - Magic spell accuracy (reduces chance attacks will be resisted), increases magic defense Synthesizing: Alchemist (secondary tool), Culinarian (secondary tool) Gathering: Fishing
