DANCER lowest dps in game? why

Stats are not needed. Look at all the complaints every time SE make jobs easier
Jobs could be deemed boring the more and more simpler they make them.

Only reason is they have tried to gauge what would attract new players to mmos, and thus making jobs easier

It HAS to be the lowest personal DPS. I don't see why it could be above any other dps on that front.
Now just need to ensure that your personal DPS + what you bring to the party aligns with what other jobs are bringing.

Isn’t that exactly what we are discussing here? That Dnc (& Nin) pDPS & Support are still way below other cls dps & utility?

ok take 5% of that 12.5k dps blm and add it to the 8.7k dps dancer you get 9.325k dps (standard finish buff should always be on and its a flat 5% dmg increase) then add all the percentage from technical finish, about 1-2% per player so x5(exclude hlrs since they won't always be using damaging skills) and then add devilment another around 1% from the blm

so just with that blm alone your contribution goes from 8.7k to 9.575k(1% the low end) up to 9.7k(2% the high end)

Now add 2x 1%/2% from 6k tanks which be another 120-240 dps so 9.695k to 9.940k

Then add 2x 1%/2% from 9.5k to 11k dps which be 190-440 dps so now you would be 9.885k to 10.38k

These are low ball estimates, assumes blm is partnered with dnc, party fully lives, buffs go out for full duration, no hlr dps which in a good group will happen.

I say we are actually in a really good spot as dancers our raid contribution is high enough to be valuable but not so high machinist is threatened which only has tactician(dmg mitigation), i do not feel like we need any direct buffs yet, rng mitigation on the other hand would be nice and sabre dance ogcd when? :P

From deeper analysis anything showing dancers above the 9.5 mark have either another dancer buffing them, dragoon buff and or an ast pumping balance into them for padding.
Realistically any other ranged job taking those cards / buffs would be pushing 12k(mch)-14k(blm) in the situation

to conform to the data we have at hand about a 4% overall damage buff to dancer would put it without padding at class average. However as mentioned there is a lot of variance in dancer damage due to procs.

They don't need any buffs. If they keep their utility and also do equal dps to jobs that doesn't have it, they would be mandatory to bring to any group. Exactly the type of thing they are trying to avoid this expansion.

Dancer is definitely not the right job for players who like being in the lead of DPS numbers. It is meant for those who enjoy pushing DPS numbers for others.
At this point I'm just hoping it stays that way. I don't want another job with actual active support that consist of more than pushing one button to be gutted in favor of players who treasure their personal dps above all else. There already are more than enough alternative jobs for exactly that ^_^.

most of the people who have posted here have stated they dont want it to be top pdps but they want themm to at least be on par or a bit behind mch in rdps meaning combined pdps and buff dps.
