Idea : Invite to locked server codes

Where are they supposed to make a character? Which server in the list:

In which case, he will have to wait. Although if that IS the case that all of Aether and Primal are fully congested, and Crystal is congested in all but 3 servers, then new realms need to be added to the datacentre. Speaking of, the entire mana data centre is congested right now. I just checked now. Same for Aether. But there are 3 Primal worlds accepting new characters right now. In fact, Lamia is the home of a famous casual raiding group, so they'd have fun there I reckon.

Yeah.... nothing suggested has been a "possible solution". The only actual solution is one that... actually resolves the problem. Sorry, but "just switch servers and lose your housing" isn't a solution. The main people going for the free world transfer to preferred servers are those without housing or established FC ties. Couple this with the fact that the servers they want you to transfer to actually have WORSE queues than the servers that are "congested".... yeah, not a solution, friend.

There are technical reasons why they can't just make the servers accept more people. Having worked in the IT field myself and even having done some software development, eventually it gets to a point where simply "throwing more servers at it" will stop working.

That’s the problem I had. Didn’t want to leave Siren but had a family member join the game during expansion so I made alt on Spriggan to play with them until they can transfer.

Yeah, honestly, the servers aren't as full as they're being made out to be. Any time I log into Sargatanas during peak, I have a queue of maybe 20. I log in to Mateus, where my friend had to make his character and I made an alt there, and it's a queue of almost 100. I really hope this 'congestion' status lifts soon so that he can transfer.

The servers will open back up again, the expansion has barely been out 2 weeks. Things will settle down but right now,yes everyone under the sun is logging in as often as possible just be patient.

Oh my god, what a thread Move away from your Server and if your harem loves you so much, they can also move.

So.... you invite somebody. Then maybe a dozen people in your FC invite somebody, then the people who were invited invite somebody....

Do you see how this can snowball out of control? I do feel your frustration since I had a friend wanting to join the game just before Shadowbringers launched and with not just my world, but my entire data center being congested, I had to tell him if he joined now there was no way he and I could play together. Whining about having to use world visit to play with your friends is, frankly, a luxury I'm sure the rest of us on Aether would like to have.

Obviously I'm not SE, but they probably don't want to add new servers because in a few weeks once things calm down a lot less people will be playing and they won't be necessary.

If they add new servers they risk them not filling up and in fact they already made that mistake before. Omega was launched 2 years ago and it was very popular. However a few days later they quietly added another server (Louisoix). Sadly though because noone knew they were going to release two servers (at different times) most people who wanted to transfer to a new world had already transferred to Omega (and were locked there for 90 days!). From what I understand it took Louisoix's population a long time to catch up with all the others.

I saw someone further back in the thread say that the servers obviously aren't that full as the login queues aren't that big, but if you're getting login queues at all then the server IS full. Allowing people to create even more characters on those servers is just reckless. They won't be running the servers to 100% capacity, but by now they'll have worked out what their "safe" limits are so they'll be working to those limits.

I'm not 100% sure that login queues are an indication of server population congestion considering that on Faerie we've had a login queue ever since the server split and the world visit system was implemented. Our server population, as far as I'm aware, didn't suddenly increase, though perhaps more people are visiting our world, which would make the server seem more full than it actually would be if you just look at server population.
