    You have to click a box that counts your story progression. Or something along those lines, I haven’t looked at it in a while. I do know story progression is off by default, though.

    It's only available to turn it on/off for when the currently-selected cutscene has variable dialogue. The rest of the time it's greyed out to indicate that there isn't anything affected by it in that scene.
