Obviously some new players may opt to pay for the MSQ skip.
But other new players may not want to do so, but the task of going through the MSQ for ARR, HW, SB, and ShB can be daunting especially when trying to catch up to their friends.

Some parts of the MSQ have unnecessary portions that can be cut for the sake of saving time and shortening the length of the MSQ. In particular I'm referring to parts of the MSQ where you visit a new village/town and are then given 2-3 quests as random chores to build "rapport" with the village. This can be seen as easily cuttable without effecting the story and will save a substantial amount of time.

How do you do this? I am not advocating cutting those parts out entirely. Instead, when the MSQ gets to a part where you are given 2-3 random chore quests in order to get back to the main part of your actual goal after building a relationship with the town, here is what you can do: Make those quests split off from the MSQ quests. Instead those quests will become normal side quests you can do that split off as optional, while the MSQ will skip them straight to the next step of the story.
