    PS4 Client making you FULL reinstall for 5.01

    PS4 is trying to making me fully reinstall 40gbs of data for 5.01. I believe it said version 7.81 or 7.87 for PS4 Client.

    The PS4 itself is up to date and no issues with internet.

    I was informed that the new update should only be 814mbs not 40gbs

    Is there a way to prevent this? I'm on a boat with slow internet. Can I cancel update and retry downloading?

    If I'm not mistaken, that is a system feature that kicks in if there is corruption in the data. I think all you can do is fully reinstall.
