Problems with DX11

I found the issue I think. I haven't had crashing all weekend.


All I did was disable discord's admin rights, and disabled the overlay. I can't use discord to talk anymore (PTT won't work with discord de-elevated and backgrounded)

So there's an issue here between those two applications. Glad I found it though.

That has to be coincidence. I've had this problem since before using discord. Not to mention the thousands of players who do use discord and have no issue what so ever.

I get that it shouldn't be an issue, but it seems to be in this case. Any overlays could cause it also. Try taking a look and see if that's the case.

Disabled Discord's Overlay and all that... still got the 110000009 directx error

If there is a conflict between Discord and FFXIV, then it's far from the only cause of DX11 problems. I tried uninstalling Discord entirely and still got a crash after 2-3 hours of play.

I also did a fresh install to my SSD and got that error about 5 hours later.

I did a post and no one tried to help me and i'm also having issues with directx 11

I’ve had the same problem. After trying many solutions my fix is to reseat my GPU and RAM. I guess ffxiv is susceptible to even a minor stutter from gpu or ram (which other games can tolerate just fine).

I've seen that a lot on here hence trying to buff conversation here to keep this at the top.

I'm very upset with how little responses we are getting and other threads with provide 0 information receive more love than probably the most common issue with this game. Even more so now that they removed the feature that allowed us to avoid this error.

I would bother my FC with the issue with I have but they did a lot for me already so yeah i dont know.

But yes lots of people having issues and SE support = Where it is? They should be doing something except, they aren't doing anything here... And i never had issues with directx 11 until days ago and i dont know what else to do more :/
