Problems with DX11

[Vontri]

I've been experiencing this issue for over a year now with DX11. The temp fix I found was dropping down to DX9 but now with Shadowbringers I can no longer do that, I'm trailing for raid groups soon and do not want to effect their play experience and mine with having to crash out of the game randomly because of this. I've scoured the internet and these forums trying to find a fix and found nothing that has worked. It seems other have the same problem as well.

This crash happens all over the place, and isn't linked to any action or zone. I've had it crash in dungeons, in town, while being active and some times even when being afk standing still.

Only programs like Discord or an internet browser, Steam and the such. I've upgraded my hardware several times since having this happen to me and I only seem to have a problem with FFXIV.

I have this same issue, been happening for a long time now on my Windows 10 install.

The game also takes quite a while to load (and to exit.)

Re-installed several times and finally have resorted to installing Windows 7 on a spare HDD and running FFXIV in Windows 7 instead of Windows 10, and it has no issues.

4) You may also want to try a reinstallation of the game. When you do, make sure to remove the locally-saved data folder (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Be sure to make a backup of this just in case it doesn't resolve the issue.

I have already done all of those things in the past, none of those have worked.

Quite honestly, I'd like to learn why this happens to FFXIV and nothing else. Can't we get a developer in here that understands these errors and maybe explain them a bit? I'd even help them as much as I could to maybe fix it for everyone... This has been going on for way too long and I'm tired of it.
