Angry Scholar fairy issues, aggro and despawning

I've been doing a handful of dungeons and other duties on Scholar and the new changes leave much to be desired.

First and foremost is Fairy aggro, Eos/Selene will snap heal right when a tank pulls and takes any damage, even before I am in combat, which can be problematic, especially when trying to do large pulls.

Second is how often the fairy despawns. It seems every time there is a teleporter or elevator, Eos/Selene tend to try and path around and then despawn instead of teleporting with me. Since there is no more party bar for the fairy, I have to keep an eye out or notice that the fairy skills are greyed out. The biggest offenderrs are the teleporters/elevators in Praetorium as well as the jump and ghost abduction on Doom Train.

I know there are a lot of other issues with Scholar at the moment, but these are greatly diminishing the fun of the class.

I thought faerie aggro had become impossible. You can pre-place faeries in boss fights now, or I may have misunderstood something.

The fairy's heal aggro now diverts directly to you, the SCH, so when the fairy heals at the very start of a fight it's like the tank ran in with regens ticking. It's not a major issue because usually the slow fairy is too far away to actually reach the tank until after its gained aggro, but it sometimes happens in pulls with little movement. Just one more minor annoyance to add to the pile.

A proper tank pull will far out-aggro any healing, regen or faerie.
Tanks may just be getting lazy because they think they don't need to worry about aggro anymore.

Dissipate the fairy at the end of a pull. It helps alot with the aggro issues and with Embrace being weaker, the 3 aetherflow stacks are more valuable than a few Embrace GCDs.

I've not encountered the respawning issue. If you're placing the fairy in a boss fight, she will not follow you and will despawn as you progress into the dungeon. Enable pet names to keep track of the fairy more easily:

Settings -> Character -> Control -> Target -> Untick "Disable targetting of pets and minions when in battle".

The fairy was disappearing long before 5.0 but I only noticed it in the MSQ raids. Her pathing has gotten erratic which causes you to become to far away in some cases and she despawns. The best fix would be to have her warp to you and auto follow if she gets to far away. Or make her insta-cast like the summoner pets so we can have as much uptime as possible. We are the only healer where part of out toolkit might go randomly missing.
