Unless you died or had to rez the healer, RDM and SMN never ran out of MP.Yeah, I can understand that. BLM really didn't have a limiter in the sense that most other classes did. But... RDM, SMN, etc. still use MP. Granted, I think physical DPS were lacking in the TP self-regen department that casters had, which could've been an easier solution than to remove TP entirely.

The ability to spam my aoe moves on the run while going from pack to pack is amazing.
I don't miss it.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

I liked TP. Because it was just another thing that you had to manage even if all it was, was wait til 500TP. Use invigorate, you get another invorgate right before zero TP.
While simple when isolated it was not uncommon to forget to hit invigorate, til your almost zero the first time. It’s punishing for those who like just afk their minds while spamming buttons.
I like having lots of things to manage. TP just added to that.
AoE is 90% only used in dungeons (and FATES now that people are doing them again in ShB) but most dungeons can still be completed by people "who like just afk their minds while spamming buttons". Depending on your outlook, it made tedious content more or less tedious but tedious all the same. It speeds up my dungeon runs and Im happier for that.I liked TP. I would argue that’s not the fault of TP management, but rather single target almost never consuming TP faster than autoTP regen.AoE is 90% only used in dungeons (and FATES now that people are doing them again in ShB) but most dungeons can still be completed by people "who like just afk their minds while spamming buttons". In Heavensward I clearly remember having to use TP skills on single boss fights. And dungeons went just as fast. If your skilled. Also dungeons being easy and mundane is cuz this game’s monsters do boring generic aoes. If trash was engaging and interesting and even slightly challenging. It could be fun rather than mundane. But whatever, let’s just make the game with 5 actions, it’s already mundane, just make it so I can spam 1 button and watch Netflix if that’s how we are going to deal with things being boring. Instead of calling for improvements.
Dungeons are literally the same except you don't run out of TP halfway into the trash pack
The only thing I miss about TP was it was easy to tell what physical jobs weren't aoing on trash pulls in dungeons when their TP never dipped low. In all the jobs I played in 4.0 it really only existed as a limiter on eoe in dungeons. I never ran into issues outside of that. So I don't miss it.

But TP management was never really fun? At least I dont see anything contributing to the battle system. I dont miss it.

MP which was expended far more slowly than TP was when aoeing. On RDM at least, so long as I don't have to cast raises, I can still AoE forever just like BLM could.
Omg op you are so right. The free AoE just makes aoe dps and aoe tanking limitless and boring. I too miss the feeling of having to optimize my TP. It just needed to be better implmented, not removed.
