    SHB Music Appreciation

    The music in SHB is so good, I thought maybe we could share our favourite soundtracks out of the expansion.


    My favourites are: Rak'tika's theme, Amh Araeng's theme, Kholusia's theme, and the boss theme, and the lvl 79 boss theme (not linking xD). There may be some spoilers in the linked videos, so don't watch if you've yet to play and care about that.

    I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.

    The final boss theme is definitely one of my favorites, too. And you bet Rak'tika's is in my top 3 orchestrion rolls. :P

    It bums me out that kholusia loses this theme entirely after Events happen, instead of it just being relegated to the daytime theme like for other zones.


    The ones in the OP are probably some of the best though, although I'd slot in both remixes from the Twinning (dungeon + endboss themes) too.

    Really, I think they hit it out of the park this expansion when it came to the music. The only thing I didn't like was the jarring battle initiation music.
    I'm fond of Titania's theme as well as Rak'tika's theme. The final boss of course gets a mention.

    The city of Amaurot theme. Akademia Anyder's theme. Got the orchestration for that second one. It and Ink Long dry are about the two jazziest tracks in the game.

    My votes would have to go to Tomorrow and Tomorrow as well as The Twinning's dungeon theme; love the remixed blend of Syrcus Tower's theme and eScape.

    In general, the music is really good but for some outdoor areas, the loop is so obvious that forced me to turn off the music.

    I think that's what people mean by "final boss," them trying not to give out spoilers because it is a big spoiler. But yes, that's one of my favourites, too, and I almost added it but I thought better. xD I ended up editing my post and just mentioned "final boss" without linking video.
