I really dont mind the new card/seal system. My issue with AST currently is their skills have stupidly long CDs for very little potency.

Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
agreed
though, i'd feel better about the card system if it wasn't seven buttons dedicated to a 4% overall damage increase for one target, with a splash of 6% raid increase every threeminutes
it really is just trashy, ignoring all the whines about "muh utility" and other dumb excuses people have about the previous cards being "better"
having to nerf the cards is fine, but it wasn't just a "nerf", we literally got garbage as a replacement, that's my issue
assuming WHM are the hard-casters for both dps and healing, SCH are the hard-cast dps with oGCD healing, and AST are the hard-cast healers with oGCD dps, it's not really a bad concept overall
it's just.... literally why
is 4% damage really worth the hard-cast losses and seven buttons to work with?
especially when you're still at the mercy of someone elses damage output being the higher out of who you're throwing cards at, or them being able to squeeze out the most of their rotation during your card throw, or the RNG itself depending on if you even have a melee/ranged dps
so.... yea, the answer to my question would be a hard no, thanks, i didn't even read this at first

This does sums it up well. AST has been ruined in my opinion and I love the class dearly. It is just truly not enjoyable to play. But not only that, but I have noticed that I'm not the only one that has felt that AST healing itself has taken quite a hit. When I was healing people leveling, dungeons that I previously had no problems with keeping tanks up felt like I was desperately trying to keep the tank alive. There truly has to be some changes..

Here's how I would change/fix the current AST without reverting it back to what it was.
Divination - Cooldown reset upon getting 3 appropriate seals, or just 2 minutes, 3 minutes seems too long for such a small buff.
Celestial Opposition - Reduce cooldown to 60s. The heals aren't strong enough to warrant a 120s cooldown.
Celestial Intersection - Have it apply both buffs, again it's not very strong and won't cause AST to be OP as a healer.
Horoscope - Cause the heal to trigger when the effect wears off, OR have it apply a regen/shield if not used.
Sleeve Draw - Remove the buff and just make it add three charges to draw (as in no timer to use them)

I'm WHM main, but AST was my 2nd go to healing job, and after was SCH.
It now changed to WHM > SCH. I've got to 74 so far with AST - I hate it. Honestly make me sad, because I loved AST.
These are my opinions but:
Card system is down right boring - I like many would rather have the old system back.
Our mana management was bad back in SB - to me, it even worse now.
Healing and throwing out DPS? Yeah, nope. Since most tank pull wall to wall, the dps isn't happening. Trying to keep up the tank health or dps standing in bad only allow for little to no dps at all.
I can't speak for most of the new skills since I'm only 74 at the moment, so I'll leave that for when I do get 80, if I ever do, been hard wanting to finish leveling it.
Either way, it'll get to 80 and will most liking sit collecting dust until SE fixes it or.... the next xpack -__-

I just got it to level 77 today, Horoscope and Celestial Intersection are good, but they are sooooo weak in my own opinion. Keeping up with a tank that pulls from one wall to the next is rough, we live, but it rough and doesn't allow me to throw any dps.
Which just recently got out of a run where a dps took a shot at me for not dpsing but didn't once take notice that I was non-stop healing to keep the tank alive. We just kicked him but seriously, AST really frustrating at the moment.

I completely agree, the healing kit sucks currently. Frankly I dont know how the devs thought it was ok...... because its glaringly obvious how much more effort it takes to heal on AST compared to both other healers.I just got it to level 77 today, Horoscope and Celestial Intersection are good, but they are sooooo weak in my own opinion.
