Ast is dead, Whm killed it. And while we're at it the new cards are not only boring but actually making me NOT want to play a class I loved since 3.0. Revert the cards make the spire do something like a DH buff, and fix our potencies.

For me, the positive 5.X change is probably the involvement of cross-sect actions. They've been interesting (thematically or otherwise), but the efficacy of the cross-sect actions are poor.
The changes to the card system is double-edged in my eyes. Stacking seals for Divination has been fun. Yet when contextualized by the long cooldown and weak effect, it has quickly transitioned into tedium. It feels bad to commit work to Divination only for it to barely be stronger than +dmg% bonuses available to other jobs that are available with less investment (Devotion, Trick Attack, Brotherhood, Battle Litany). Though I may be misinformed on this point, it also feels useless to deploy a lower level Divination as the bonus is so weak. But it might not be the case if you're aiming to line up raid buffs every X minutes.
There's been nerfs across the board to potencies and cooldowns without (in my eyes) the appropriate strength in the cards and new actions. Although I would like for SQEX to buff AST before savage hits, I don't see how their dev cycle can achieve that.

AST is horrible now (though it's the best healer in PVP). The cards, as I suspected, are awful. Boring, no variety. The seals are a joke. I just discovered (while leveling) yesterday that even in battle, the seals don't register unless you cast a spell first. Celestial is a joke. Divination's CD is WAY too long.
Player : フェアリーのミラプリも作ってるんですか?
(Any plan on Fairies glamour?)
Yoshi'p Sampo: フェアリーはエギではないので、予定がないです。残念ながら。
(Since Fairies aren't Egi so, No.)
Why? Seriously, I have never needed to use Undraw, if you Undraw you have wasted your chance for a buff. Draw begins cooldown as soon as it's used. If you are afraid of doubling a seal, all you have to do is Minor Arcana and poof, no more seal.

Undraw only use right now is to fill the gap between level 30 (Draw) and level 50 (Mino Arcana). After you get Minor Arcana, it is useless as you say.
You get Minor Arcana AND Divination at level 50.. before level 50 you don't have use for seals (do it even shows up?). So no.. you don't need undraw: Otherwise it would means that jumping over a chance to buff anyone is better? than using the buff..?
There's been ONE case where I even thought of Undrawing, and was more out of spite than anything. When in a dungeon I had 2 caster DPS and got melee cards in all 3 Redraws, with the same seals to boot. Threw a Lord at the SMN after grumbling like a murloc.
ah, yes, i see
the only reason you'd want to use a trashy skill, is when the trashy mechanic makes you mad about how trashy it really is
i see why they added it
The mechanic isn't trashy. SB cards were about seeking to twist the Fates in a way to get you an advantage. Any card was better than no card, and still is. The ShB cards suck rocks into orbit through a straw, but for both versions playing a card is better than not (Undraw).
Just because something is sub-optimal doesn't mean it's trash. I want the 4.0 card system back though.

Not saying that I’m against the removal of Undraw but would it really matter in the end? I agree that there’s no much point to it, the only time I’ve ever used it is when in 4 man content with double melee/ranged and keep getting cards for the wrong role (e.g every card lol my luck is terrible). But then again, realistically it’s better to just use the card on the DPS regardless, since 4% is better than 0%, so it’s not like you could ever really justify using Undraw with the current system
