FINAL FANTASY XIV GAMESCOM 2019 COSPLAY CONTEST (THE “PROMOTION”) OFFICIAL RULES

KEY RULES

A. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both (i) these key rules summarizing the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”) and (ii) the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence. B. Territory; Governing Law: This Promotion is open only to attendees of Gamescom 2019 at Koelnmesse GmbH. Messeplatz 1 50679 Cologne, Germany (“Gamescom”), during the Entry Period. These Key Rules and any dispute arising out of this Promotion shall be governed by and construed in accordance with German law.

C. Age Limit: This Promotion is open only to individuals 13 years (with legal guardian permission) of age or older, and who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, at the date and time of entry.

D. Entry Period: You may enter the Promotion only between 23 August 2019 at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm Central European Summer Time (the “Entry Period”).

E. Entry Procedure and Limitations: In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:
• Attend Gamescom 2019 with valid access on 23 August 2019.
• Create a costume inspired by Final Fantasy XIV (the “Costume”).
• Sign up at the information desk at Sponsor’s Final Fantasy XIV booth at Gamescom (“Registration Booth”) during the Entry Period dressed in your Costume.
• Be photographed in your Costume by Sponsor or Sponsor’s representatives.
• Provide all requested information to Sponsor or Sponsor’s representatives, including:
o Your name, age, and if under 18, name of guardian
o Your Square Enix ID
o Your Character and World name
o The name and/or description of your Costume
o Your nickname/stage name
• Complete and return any documentation or waivers provided by Sponsor or Sponsor’s representatives.
• Participate in a costume parade (only 20 finalists will be chosen) (the “Parade”) on 23 August 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central European Summer Time.
Additional restrictions related to the Costume:
• Costumes must not be dangerous to the wearer(s) or to others.
• Costumes must not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights.
• You must be able to maneuver in the Costume without assistance.
• Costumes requiring the participation of two (2) or more people must be worn by all participants.
• Your Costume must not contain or consist of any of the following:
o sharpened, pointed, or dangerous objects;
o large heavy blunt objects;
o liquids with corrosive or hazardous properties;
o loud objects such as emergency horns or alarms;
o any other actually, potentially, or apparently illegal, offensive, or dangerous materials.
• An entry worn by two (2) or more people shall be treated as one (1) entry and any prize shall be awarded to only the registered entrant.
• Participants can register for the Promotion in German and English, but the Parade will be presented in German.
F. Winner Selection: The Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, shall select twenty (20) finalists that will participate in the Parade, and the three (3) winners, based on the following criteria:
• Communicating admiration of the Final Fantasy XIV franchise
• Technical quality of the Costume
• Originality of the Costume
• Creativity of the Costume
• Artistic elements of the Costume
G. Prize(s): Winners shall receive the following prizes:

• One (1) First Place Winner:
o One (1) PlayStation 4 PRO – Shadowbringers Edition (branded with foil) (approximate retail value of €399.00)
o One (1) custom trophy (approximate retail value of €29.60)
o One (1) FINAL FANTASY XIV Carbuncle calendar (approximate retail value of €15.00)
o One (1) FINAL FANTASY XIV Mameshiba plush (approximate retail value of €12.00)
o One (1) set of FINAL FANTASY XIV stress balls (approximate retail value of €10.00)
• One (1) Second Place Winner:
o One (1) custom trophy (approximate retail value of €25.90)
o One (1) FINAL FANTASY XIV Carbuncle calendar (approximate retail value of €15.00)
o One (1) FINAL FANTASY XIV Mameshiba plush (approximate retail value of €12.00)
o One (1) set of FINAL FANTASY XIV stress balls (approximate retail value of €10.00)
• One (1) Third Place Winner:
o One (1) custom trophy (approximate retail value of €22.90)
o One (1) FINAL FANTASY XIV Mameshiba plush (approximate retail value of €12.00)
o One (1) set of FINAL FANTASY XIV stress balls (approximate retail value of €10.00)
Winners cannot transfer or exchange their prize and cannot receive a cash payment.

H. Winner Notification: Sponsor will notify the three (3) winners at the conclusion of the Parade.

I. Sponsor: The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix Limited.

J. Miscellaneous: Sponsor, or Sponsor’s representatives, may film, photograph, or otherwise record the Parade and other aspects of the Promotion. Please see the Additional Rules and Square Enix’s Privacy Policy for additional information about Square Enix’s use of these recordings.

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. YOU MUST HAVE LEGALLY ACQUIRED ACCESS TO GAMESCOM 2019 PRIOR TO THE LAUNCH OF THE PROMOTION.
