Shadowbringers Sightseeing Log Vista 08 impossible to stand on as Viera

Managing to land on top of the lantern from above (either from bridge or one level lower + sprint) results in sliding off the thing 100% of the time while other people (as seen on Youtube) manage to do it just fine on other races. The game seems to not know how to handle the specific model on top of that lantern as it always pushes me off. I've managed this jump about 20 times now, always sliding right off...

And no, I'm not accidentally adjusting my position by still holding down a direction key upon landing.

Edit: Okay I managed to get it finally after like 2 more hours of constant sliding off. Managed to help someone else out to get it aswell via resurrecting while I was at it.

I really think they need to widen the hitbox to stand on on that thing, it's WAY too accurate for the game's controls in my opinion.

I had a lot of issues with landing on it as well, and I would slide off a bunch too, but I don't think it's impossible. There's just a very small area you can stand on, and I suspect with the Viera being new it's harder to gauge where they actually are. I was doing it with a friend and they kept whiffing so once I made it they self-destructed as BLU and then I raised them so they'd spawn where I was, and even they slid a little bit as they appeared on top of me despite not being able to move in that animation.

It's definitely possible to get it as a Viera - I've already grabbed it. Definitely took a few tries, but I've managed it before. The problem, as others have noted, is that the place to stand on is incredibly small and hard to hit just right. Whether or not being a Viera makes it harder, I don't know (I haven't done it on other races yet), but it certainly is possible.

Maybe controller/WASD matters? I, like many others, plan to res as BLU for it because I've tried sprint, peleton, nothing and 50 different angles from the multiple places to land, and as female roe, could not get it at all. I even land for that split second and slide right back off.

Updated original post. "Solved" I guess but they gotta do something about this one IMO.

I've bounced off it a few times as well (with my female Midlander character). It seems to have an extra-small hitbox and it's very frustrating.
