With the removal of TP every dungeon is now a speed run, only limited by the amount of healer + tank CDs available for chaining trash pulls.

It was that way before the TP removal, but now even the lowest common denominator player is able to constantly AoE on a TP class.

In this new world so to speak having a MP class in your party is a drawback due to:
  1. Cast time due to turret mage design of every MP class, which doesn't do well in a constant chaining of groups + movement
  2. MP costs, which for some reason every MP class still has to pay for AoE damage
