    That all makes sense, but...

    Would you truly not find the process of setting up your hotbars to be simpler and/or more comfortable if various combos were reduced down to a single button?

    Nope, because I like the combo system we have now. I'll point to my previous response though since I think we replied at the same time lol.

    As someone who uses the keyboard for everything but some occasional crap involving menus... no. "Why?" I'm running this on a laptop while I sit on the couch. I have no good place for a mouse.

    Though I will freely admit that, with regards to my "keyboard-only" aspect, I am surely in the minority. However, I don't think "buy a fancy mouse so you have access to more buttons" is a good rebuttal to this perceived problem.

    No, I would not. I prefer the system as it is, and I find it comfortable already with the way I have things set up.

    Most of my hotbars don’t change that significantly going from expansion to expansion. My BRD hotbar has the majority of its skills still in the same spot they were in when I started in HW. Same with healers. Others that I rearrange I just relearn. It’s not a hard thing to do, so it doesn’t bother.

    Well, it sounds like there's no convincing either side, so I will continue to fight for this to be an optional setting then. Though, I will admit the fact that is isn't optional in PvP is very concerning.

    You can't deny that it would help some people.

    They should do it, to remove Skill Bloat to the most less minimum/ or to make classes more interestign with added new skills to fill the created gaps from making more Skill Chains of obvious ones, where even in the skill descriptions is the read about combinations - where it makes only sense to use those skills, if a certain other one has been used before to be more effective.

    Its very disappointing to see, that Skill Combos havent found their way into PvE Gameplay, despite that the mechanics are used already for PvP...
    Wasnt it said in one of the letters of Yoshida, that they are doing these skill chains for pvE?? So for me it was even more so disappointing that they seem to have shortly changed their minds on that whyever ... because personally I see absolutely no reason not to implement that system completely into the game for all modes.

    How to do that, I will go into details in my suggestion threads for the classes, now that I ve got a good impression on what Shadowbringers has changed all on the classes and combat system...

    I'm not sure he ever said that, if anything his latest opinion on the matter is the complete opposite and he didn't want to bring PvP style combos to PvE. Of course things can change, but he seems pretty adamant for the time being that the status quo should stay as it is....

    Yoshida said the opposite—the PvP system will not be coming to PvE because PvP and PvE encounters are designed differently. The PvP system was made to reflect the difference in playstyle in a PvP environment.

    Q: Can we have PvE skill combos like how PvP chains the skill combos? The number of skills we have to put definitely has been lesser since Stormblood but it feels like more can be done.
    Y: If that happens, skill combo would be too simple and easy. Additionally, PvP uses simplified skill combos because we want to pinpoint the players’ focus on broader perspective of battle than using the skills in order. PvE combat environment is a lot different from PvP, where players need room in between combos to respond to various situations in the raids. That’s one of the reasons why we are keeping the the way of skill sets structured.

    In other perspective, the development team already saw that the number of skills are reaching the capacity in terms of system limit. Instead of increasing the number of skills, we are planning to replace the skills or alter the skill that are rarely used instead. You won’t expect the number of skills surging back in the near future.
