The primary problem is that SE didnt go through with the second half of what would be needed to make the "healers go heal" attitude work: Make content that cant be wall-to-wall pulled and AOE'd down while half asleep. They really need to increase difficulty and damage output of everything, across the board, by a LOT. Maybe except the new extremes.
I was doing wall-to-wall pulls on first clears of levelling dungeons with a GNB and an AST healer, with no risk at all. I havent been playing the game for almost 2 years before ShB. This really shouldnt be that easy.
Once the tank and group actually need healing to stay alive, and not just for them sleeping on the job or not using their skills (whats that anyway? I have never seen a community that was happy with people not using half of their kit as this one!), we can talk about how healing works.

Right now, all they did was take away DPS tools that are now missing because healers are almost as idle as they used to be.
