Lack of side quests

I never did any roulettes, only did each dungeon once, only did fates for riding maps and achievements, and still had to stop doing the side-quests when I got to rak'tika because I was outpacing the MSQ levels. Got to Grenoldt at 79 and just did a handful of sidequests plus hunt bills to hit 80 at that point. Not sure how you ran out. Did you do the role quests (required for the MSQ anyways)? Have you been hitting sightseeing log spots and filling out the maps? Have you been doing the hunt bills and beast tribe quests each day? The new hunt bills give huge exp, and the old bills and beast tribes still give quite a few million exp each day for little work.

I did every side quest, did enough Fates for all but 1 riding map, each dungeon once with trusts. I tend to solo as much as possible. So aside from forced 8 man stuff I didn't do any roulettes.

I also have played every xpac since are came out. Never waited till xp buff to level but even in SB I had tons of quests for my other jobs. The only hard part is getting 71 after that I plan to grind trust dungeons.

I just found it wierd cuz this has never happened to me before. But at the same time my time in game was more enjoyable leveling then I had in SB, (probably because I did do roulettes then instead of doing all story stuff).

leveled 2 jobs to 80 and still have lali-ho quests left and tons on the last zone :S

did my DR everyday tho , used alt job for some DR ( i was 79 on nin and 75 on rdm when i hitted last zone)

I am still making my way through the story, but my take is as follows. I've done the 6 fates to unlock speed boost and that's it. Each story dungeon once to coincide with the story and that's it. Every side quest available. Taking my time and doing it this way, I have yet to run into any ceiling and am 1 level above the story requirement the whole time. No roulette, no extra dungeons, no fate grind. Hell, I still have the original 3 daily nut hunts open from when I first unlocked them at each level range, only killing them when i see them.

There is more than enough to reach 80 as far as I can tell. Currently 78.

Yeah side quests are just an option to lvl. If you don't like the other methods of lvling that's literally the rest of the game. As harsh as it sounds if you don't like running dungeons, fates, trials, deep dungeon, pvp or any other avenues of lvling or grinding in general then why even bother reaching max lvl. Unless you play just for the ff story.

I love the story, and just enjoy randomly leveling. I was just trying to get my jobs to 71 to get access to the shb dungeons with my trusts. Didn't expect to run out of quests lol. I thought maybe more would open up or something. I definitely would have run more trust dungeons if I knew I'd run out before being able to level other jobs.

Literally the only side quests I did from 70-80 on my first job were the ones that gave aether currents. I left the others alone. All of my Shadowbringers zones are still littered with side quests.
