It's hilarious that people seem to think that a keyboard is nearly mandatory for an MMO, like FF XIV. Reality is this: you can do every bit of content in this game except for Ultimate raids without chatting one word to another player. It makes the "keyboard is mandatory" thing incredibly laughable.

On topic, the software keyboard, for the /say quests, really aren't as bad as you make it out to be. It took me 15 seconds at most from accepting, entering chat, typing the words with the software keyboard, and sending. It's really not a big deal, and certainly not worth complaining about.

You are playing a mmo. You should be using a keyboard with your console at least to communicate when not on voice chat. Or get one of those mini controller keyboard attachables if they still make em.

You did not design the game, you cannot mandate what is absolute and what is not. It was an obtuse phrase, intentionally so, and for console players, frustrating. Something that can be solved with a simple copy and paste. Even with a keyboard someone can miss the comma in the quest text on super bright Il Mheg background. It is the simplest fix that dates back to gosh darn Windows 95.

You missed my tiny point sadly. My only point was that those people do exist. And I didn't mean that in a mean way But yeah, it's not about buying one or what have you. I'm also not complaining about it either. Just saiying we do exist and it hasn't been a problem that's all.

It's 1 quest every few dozen hours, if not more. It doesn't come up nearly enough for SE to "hate console players".

Plus, it's kind of her own fault for getting mad at it after refusing to plug in a keyboard, especially if she knows its supported and you had one on hand.
