It's funny how with this topic people assume one end of the spectrum or the other, when the reality is in the middle.

Healers are having to spend spending more time using their HEALING KIT vs their DPS KIT. Depending on the content, levels, gears, skills, etc, some healers are going to struggle to keep the tank up, others are going to have much fewer issues. That's not changed.

Mana Management is more a consideration now. Keeping Lucid on CD is pretty normal now - no need to hang on to it in case you get agro, cause no agro dump with it anymore.

Saying a healer is not dps'ing... that's a pretty freaking broad generalization. That's like taking your car to get worked on and saying "it makes a noise" with zero context.

It's one thing for the healer to be spamming their HEAL KIT to keep you and the group alive and not having the time or resources to contribute a lot to the dps side of things. I as a dps or a tank would never tell the healer to dps more if I can tell they are being active in a meaningful way. And I don't cound spamming "Cure" non stop being meaningful. If they are legit trying to heal, then who cares.

It's not a fair comparison to say the same for a player who stands there choosing to not participate for 30 seconds at a time. That's not a healer not dps'ing, that's a bad player. Same goes for a dps or a tank. Equally not ok for a boss fight to start in a dungeon, and when the boss hits 50% HP is when one of the two dps decides arbitrarily to participate. Not ok.

I think most people know the difference between the two.

Some people, though, especially those trying the EX and such, are pulling the elitiest attitudes though. Not all, but some. The healers would have time to dps more if the others did better - cooldowns, mechs, etc.

I think the trust system the more time goes on was a mistake. Lot of people ran through them as a tank or dps.... and those trust npcs are not a fair representation of the player job equivalents. AST doesn't get a full heal like the trust system does, for one. Think it set up some incorrect expectations. "Well the trust healer had no problems keeping me up..."
