Pick Clean - Skill Requirements

Does anyone know what perception rating you need to have in order for the skill, Pick Clean to yield +2 instead of +1?

I am currently at 1955 and it still will not proc +2.

Having to push to 2000 perception at this time seems a bit overboard for the skill in and of itself. (Just my opinion.)

This might be currently out of reach for us at the moment. At 2068 Perception I am only getting +1 on Dwarven Cotton Bolls (lvl. 79).

Edited to add: I am getting +3 on some of the pre-50 nodes.

They need to address the tooltip then. Because it is NOT based solely on perception. It is a basis of perception versus item level. Very misleading, and incorrectly stated. You want hidden numbers... fine, but stop lying about it SE.

with Perception 1972 i got +2 on a level 72 node (Iridescent Cocoons)

Just want to update this since I did some hardcore tinkering to see if hitting +2 for Pick Clean was possible on level 80 nodes yet.

SO, at the absolute max perception you can have right now at 2284, Pick Clean will hit +2 on everything up to level 79. Level 80 and 80* nodes still give +1. I suspect the new gathering gear we will get in 5.1 will allow us to hit +2 on the 80 and possibly 80* nodes, but you will need to be heavily, if not max melded for perception.

Also, it seems the thresholds for Pick Clean are basically the same as Bountiful Yield II. At the absolute max gathering you can have right now at 2303, Bountiful Yield II will hit +3 on everything up to level 79, just like Pick Clean.

(I blew up so much materia testing this out, but I just HAD to know. :P )
