Gear for Gathering White Scrips ?

Anyone have any advice on how to gear up to gather white scrips once we hit lvl 80 please ? Do we need HQ lvl 80 crafted gear melded and food ?

Simply having a full set of HQ level 80 gear is likely sufficient, as I'm nearly meeting the node requirements with just a HQ 80 main/offhand and everything else 340 gear from SB.

I used 80 nq gear and it was enough since it gives like 200+ more stats compared to 340 set. After farming white scrips for a bit (Doesn't take long tbh) I got myself the chest piece and main-hands only.

I know fishing is different when it comes to getting scripts and gathering collectibles but I managed to get all the white script pieces relatively quickly, about 2 hours, with just the 340 gear. I imagine that should be fine for mining and botany as well, though I would highly recommend at least a 80 tool and offhand. I don't have either of those classes to 80 yet though so I could be wrong.

I found it nearly impossible with my level 70 yellow scrip gear. Took about 5 hits to expose the slot, then a 50% gathering boost to expose the item if not done yet. DIdn't have enough GP left. I ended up buying a set of 430 gear from the vendors, and put whatever gathering materia I had on it. Now it's fairly easy to access the nodes and get at least 1-3 collectables from each.

In all lvl 70 script gear except the HQ lvl 80 off hand, you can %100 farm white scripts. One hit uncover and 482 base collectible with the normal rotation. For the 1 stars, you will need 2 of the new script pieces to do the same(one gather piece, and one perception)

Scrip for gatherers (be it white or yellow) is all handled through collectibles at Rowena's House of Splendors in the various expansion hubs. You can also get some from custom deliveries each week, but that's also collectibles.

If you open up your Timers pane and click the Rowena's House of Splendors line, you'll get a window with all the currently-accepted collectibles and what their scrip value is. After that it's just a matter of finding the item out in the world, gathering it as a collectible of sufficient rarity, and forking it over.

One thing I will point out for gathering scrips is that white scrip turn-ins are basically always on timed nodes. So you're going to have to use a website or some other resource to find when and where these nodes are going to be available for you.

*Update* Bought HQ Lvl 80 Prim / Offhand Tools and all is well.

If a better rotation exists, by all means, let me know.

I apologize in advance if this is a redundantly asked question, but I've read in a few places the old 470 rotation has essentially remained the same.

DE - Impulse 2 *if proc SM* DE - Impulse 2 - etc ending with MA.

In theory that should leave you with 2 picks, yes?

I'm using all lvl 80 accy HQ and the lvl 77ish store bought Gather's gear all melded with perc / gath.

I'm unable to hit the 470 mark, it's landing around 405ish.

Using Perc / GP food.

I'm sure to be missing something blatantly obvious, but please, if someone could enlighten me, I'd appreciate it greatly!
