    Miqo'te hugs

I need to know this, but why is it that whenever you see miqo NPCs they are either, dancers, strippers with dances we can't get, or prizes for other NPCs? Is there something in lore that says miqo'te are more desireable then say a female Au Ra or Midlander? On the first it feels like every NPC who's trying to get laid or whatever is talking to a miqo'te chick.

I know that's an odd question but I never found an answer to this. I'm starting to wonder if you have a miqo'te it's like a status thing. Did I miss something in the lore or what? To ask this in a more direct way.. why are all the male NPCs I see trying to get miqo'te ass? :O

My guess would be that most Miqo'te you see in the city etc. left their families and now need to make due somehow. Both sun- aswell as moon-cats life in those very strong family or tribe structures that one doesnt abandoned lightly. And if one does, they need to take on less "nice" jobs. Midlanders on the other hand live more "normal" lifes and are used to the city.

And Au ra are pretty rare in Eorzea - and given that the Far East is more influenced by japanese culture, we dont see any strippers or exotic dancers (there are Geishas though -and some of them are Au ra).

Miqo'te are actually pretty much untrusted (especially in the shroud) by a lot of the city states, they very rarely leave their tribes to come to a city, so like the above comment has said, they're less likely to be able to find good employment, outside of those jobs. Sad really.

In addition to what the other people have stated, part of it is that while in universe Mi'Quote would not be particularly exotic, out of universe they are very much so. Seeing exotic dancers being non-human is a clear tell of how this is a fantasy universe, and works better on a meta-textual level. That being said, I agree with the former points on how Miquo'te are somewhat forced into those roles by society. That being said, there are plenty of Miquote in other roles, up to and including the Commander of the Maelstrom's Adventurers.
