[SPOILERS]Considering that new Minfilia feature.

This is the best suited forum for my thread I could find. Its gonna be a long and spoilerish whine of a pissed player so if you are not interested in my miserable moaning please go to some other thread.

But yeah pissed as hell. I considered it to be the best story from all expansions so far, maybe on par with story from Heavensward up until Dragonsong War. With Archbishop and all that. Maybe even better than that. And I enjoyed it very much, even been hating those times when you have gaps between your level and your next mainquest level so rushed my leveling everytime I need to hit a new level to continue my storyline as soon as possible.

It was like that up until they introduced this new Minfilia feature, that in order to obrain Oracle powers one should absorb another. And at this point I knew that old Minfilia wont win, considering all the unjustified hate she recieved from players, hate up the ***, hate up to that point that they got rid of her all the way back at the end of ARR and replaced her just now with that... child. I knew it and still had some glimmer of hope that love story between Thancred and old Minfilia will end well. It was such a breath of fresh air actually, throughout the story, the main characters were not bonded by anything but a sense of duty and the task of saving the world. It was like just a party of individuals who got together just to kill all the bad guys. And now we have two who actually love eachother. Why not let them progress their relationships? But no, of course they will kill her for delectation of all the players who hate her and let that child absorb her. SE being SE just as always.

And what I hated most of all is Thancred reaction. It was like wow, he goes in typical "Carry on with your duty, I will protect you and put my trust in you like Minfilia I love did"... wt* dude, that child just spoiled a chance for your beloved one to return and you give her that heartwarming speech? Not even a tear dropped, not even... something?

And I know lore and story wise its a good decision maybe, they getting rid of character whos been hated by majority of players and quite frankly lost the value for the whole plot. But Im pissed off that they killed a character I loved the most since ARR and been having hope that she will return. It just killed the main story for me, dont want to progress it anymore. Or might skip all the scenes that new "Minfilia" are in cuz now I just hate her.

Sorry for this rant but felt like speaking this out. Who knows maybe theres some old Minfilia fans who feels the same... which I doubt.

EDIT: So with this discussion we established that Thancred and Minfilia wasnt in a love relationships and they were more like brother/sister type of rela. Thats okay though I can still argue on that, especially judging by the words thancred said into the sky after battle with Ranjit.
