I would really like some more feedback.. Most of the posts agree that the Security Token stays at their desk for safe keeping.. and I also hear that un-attaching a security token to an account is tedious.. I feel that the introduction of "Companies" will require logging into Lodestone and/or the forums more frequently.. and having my second Security Token activated would be nice

If you remove the security token from your account, you brick it. I'd recommend against doing that.

I have a watch that's been ticking for over six years without a change of battery. I would be very, very surprised if our authenticators run out of juice in anything less than 15 years.

Well, as for the life expectancy of my security token, I'm more concerned that my kitten will decide that since I play with it, she should play with as well. At which point it will end up in the water dish like all her other toys. Crap happens. Yes, we can call SE tech support/customer service. But for those of use who have had to deal with them before, it isn't exactly the most pleasant experience in the world. My past experiences with SE lend me to believe that if I were to call them I would spend a couple of weeks playing phone tag with people trying to find the person I need to talk to, only to be told that the first person I talked to should have helped me.

As for a second security token, I would love to have one. For a while, I had attached to my key chain so I could log into lodestone when I wasn't at home. I stopped doing that because my keys frequently aren't on me (other people borrowing them for the mail key, they get left in my jacket, the previously mentioned kitten plays with them, etc.) only now it is a pain in the but because I have to try and plan ahead and re-attach it to my key chain. The ability to simply have two would easy please-y.

Speaking of security tokens, are they run by like a battery? That will eventually run out?
Was just curious, didn't think about it until now. Anyone know?
