Stormblood MSQ vs SB Normal Quests XP patch 5.0

    Dear FFXIV,

    TLDR

MSQ of Stormblood (lvl 70) gives 45k XP vs Normal Stormblood Quests (lvl 60-69) gives 99.9K xp (doesn't make sense) + (please fix it by increasing it not reducing others)

    ===================================

I am a returning player who wanted to enjoy the remaining story of Stormblood from where i left before I jump to Shadowbringer; also to benefit from the extra xp.

I was surprised that the MSQ gives low xp next to nothing even if it was justifiable by that you want to avoid players using it to their advantage; But; to make it lesser than the lower lever normal quests in the same area; then i believe there is a problem....

I know the 5.0 patch came with xp scaling systems.... at least apply it to MSQ.

    What I would suggest:-

Increase the sum of MSQ XP from the different patches 4.x to be equivalent to 2 levels (70==>72); it will not break the game and it will give benefit for returning players to still enjoy Stormblood content without feeling that they've been left-out for not buying jump potions, and they should skip the story to catch-up the new content.

    Many Thanks
    Fa

    Sorry but i wholeheartedly disagree.

EVERYONE went in to ShB quests at level 70 with 0exp on their level bar. Everyone leveled from 70-71 through ShB story quests and side quests in the new zones. Why would it be necessary for you to get above 70 before even reaching the start of ShB quests? All that would accomplish would be you out-leveling the zones you haven't even reached yet.

Everything in Shadowbringers is designed in such a way so that even if you start at level 70 with zero exp on your bar you will go at the pace the expansion is designed at. This is the reason you get very little exp from SB story quests, because, lets be honest, why do you need any more?

It makes a lot of sense actually.

When the level cap was 70, level 70 quests gave no XP. When the level cap was 60, level 60 quests gave no XP. When the level cap was 50, level 50 quests gave no XP.
Each time the level cap has been raised, the quests at the old level cap started giving XP, but a fairly small amount of XP.

Level 50 Main Story quests from 2.x give low XP compared to level 49 quests. Level 60 quests from 3.x give low XP compared to level 59 quests. Level 70 quests from 4.x give low XP compared to level 69 quests.

The quests from each of the old level caps are not designed to make you level up quickly, since you are not really supposed to be above that old level cap when you start the next expansion.
The quests added with each expansion gives more than enough XP for leveling purposes anyway.
