For new DNCs, here is brief summary of level 80 rotation/openor

seems dancer is DEF more indepth then what we thought.

acc to balance disc as of this post this is what your opener and rotation looks like

after recent changes in the early AM

    Openor

    SS>devil>TS>flourish

    Prio/Rotation immediately after above

SD >fans> procs. (as to which procs use the ones with most potency first)

use FDIII whenever its up,its kinda like free parking if you will

your big window is devilment +TS so we try to save as much CDs as possible do not fan out of that combo unless you have or get 4 before then, if you have 4 then just keep it at 3 untill you hit your window.

outside of that Saber dance is saved for either trick(ninja buff) or when youre in window,(kinda like fans) use saber dance if you are at 90 espririt tho so you dont get overcapped.

when outside your windown just SS and hit procs and then once TS and devilemnt are coming arounf, repeat to openor

hope this helps, i am sure itll change later this week as a lot of people have been tinkering with it and want to maximize class dps even tho its worst of them all (which i am fine with) if you kidna understand the above and about windows, this is a great foundation knowledgle for the class throughout this xpac.

Devilment before TS? Really? That's a lot of time on the buff lost while doing the steps for TS.

FOR NOW, simple answer, timings, timings with flourish so our big CDs kinda line up easily with each other.

we will have more concrete answer in 2 days prolly, if its a massive dps loss it will be recorded and updated. people tested it this morning and said they had slightly better dps numbers with stated above

Devilment before Technical step doesnt seem like a good idea to me. That's a ton of buff time lost because its eats up so much of it.

actually the way i see it it could go either way it could be a dps loss to put devil before ts if the ts doesnt critdhit but if it does crit dhit then it could be a dps gain but i always have devil afterwards for both me and my partner cause by doing ts first they have more damage after that it depends on if i have esprit or not if i do then i will use blade dance then flourish if not ill use flourish

Yeah I'd rather do devil after TS since I just feel like I have a better chance at getting DireCrits from my other moves then hoping for TS to DireCrit. Plus it allows my partner to have from ST, TS and Devil at the same time longer.

The opener pinned in the DNC Balance stated that you can do

    SF > Flourish > TF > Devilment
    OR
    SF > Devilment > TF > Flourish

When I looked at it a couple days back, they said that Flourish and Devilment could be interchangeable, as they were still working on figuring out the gains/losses each one had depending on the order. I would have to check back to see if there were any further developments on this. Personally, I’ve been doing the first one—with Flourish before TF and Devilment after it.

SS>devil>TS>flourish (switch flour and devil if with SAM)

    Prio/Rotation immediately after above

SD/fans> procs. (melees first for maximizing dps)
    use FDIII whenever its up,

Devilement allow your Technical step to get better result.
It is a 1500 Potency, it cast faster than a standard skills (4 skills total, 1s recast, total: 4s) and it is an AoE.
    Where a normal combo is 750 with 3 skills and 900 with 4 (if it procs), 1100 Potency if both Fan Dance I & III proc. (2,5s recast x3 + 2 instants = 7,5s)

1500 Potency (AoE) boost with 20% Crit. & DH in 4 secondes
    vs
1100 Potency (4 skills Single, 1 AoE, with chance of no proc) boost with 20% Crit. & DH in 7.5 secondes
