    POST YOUR POLL (Favorites)

    Pace of Leveling:

The pace is about appropriate, in terms of the "time spent" in a leveling scenario. However, the amount of *kills needed to level is terribly flawed, making leveling UNBEARABLE. In XIV's current state, leveling feels like a repetitive, meaningless process. Enemies die too quickly, FORCING party-roaming and eliminating any opportunity for players to take a break (w/o disrupting gameplay). Multiple party camping is not an option (unless the area is oversaturated with mobs). It's a major issue.

Thoughts on FFXIV in It's Current State and Version 2.0:

SE is unwilling to drastically overhaul the Armoury System, which is leading to a poorly structured job system, inferior to FFXI. Classes lack uniqueness (due to the crossovers of MULTIPLE classes' actions). Class/Job crossovers should be restricted to one combo like sub jobs in XI. There's too much tp/ab/magic spam, making actions boring. The UI is too mouse-reliant. Most of the PS3 player base will be coming from XI. If SE does not adapt XIV to FFXI standards, version 2.0 will be a failure.

(500 character limit per section...try to remember/post your actual feedback)

P.S. Don't feel like you're restricted to just those 2 categories. Elaborate on your thoughts about any of the poll questions (whichever ones you think are the most significant).

Thoughts on FFXIV and Version 2.0:

The UI needs to be more console-friendly. Right now, it relies on the mouse and keyboard too much. Something similar to the conventional FF design that's more condensed and a lot easier to navigate would be better.

only time i even touch the keyboard is when i type something. or the rare occasion i need to ensure i'm in walk mode where i have to turn off chat specific keyboard press x do my stuff etc. and the last time my mouse gets used is right about when i click the play button. so all being said i think its already fairly console friendly. maybe some minor tweaks here n there.

lol are you serious, Dzian? or are you, purposely, being dismissive?

You have to scroll back and forth, and up and down, constantantly during battle (if you use a controller). There's 10 icons, and 3 lines to go through, **unless** you use the keyboard. Then there's the 3rd option:

Macro every single one of your 30 selections (or at least about 18 of them, so you don't have to scroll left or right more than a few times); and then you only have to scroll through the 18 macros with your d-pad...ya, that's super controller-friendly :P

i agree here. the only time i am every touching mouse or keyboard is when i first sign into the game or typing out a macro. the game is pretty well setup for console/gamepads. i started the game using a keyboard, but one of my keys went out. i ordered a new one and started using a controller while i waited on the new one to come in. by the time my new keyboard came in there was nothing you could have done to force me back to kb/m because the controller was much easier to use.

    Pace of Leveling:

I feel the pace is "alright" it does seem a tad bit fast to get from point A to point B, A tad bit slower not to much would make it just right. Powerleveling concerns: I feel as if Powerleveling is in All forms now Healing " DDing etc". Even the Occasional "PL Gathers mobs> PL Disbands>PL Kills> Party gets EXP> Party does nothing"

Its like why play the game at all if the PLs are just going all the work for you. However, this is my opinion and im sharing it like the rest of the community is =). I feel that PLs should ONLY be in the form of Healing, not this DD kill everything Party does no work at all to get of them.. " Stupid Leechers!" :P

Aside from those two things that been bothering me ( but not affecting the way I play so ya guys do what ya want :P), the Pace of Leveling is right there were it should be, maybe a little tweak here and there).

Thoughts on FFXIV in It's Current State and Version 2.0:

1.21 Ushered in Jobs and 2 more instance Raids, with all that plus other things what were add in this patch, and the game itself, Current state= Playable. I'm very excited for 2.0 the Screenshots look amazing! The 7th Umbra Events that they are doing is Fantastic, and I love how Jobs are also tied into the Main story as well.

    I can't wait for 2.0!!! and E3 is only 3 1/2 Months away!!! Yaaaaahoooooooo!

It's just right when you take into account the game is meant to be more solo friendly compared to XI. While I would like mobs to last longer, that would make soloing longer than what it already is.

You know why the NPCs are not scared about the ball of fire in the sky? Even they are waiting for FFXIV 2.0.

lol you're always so "bubbly," Star xD -I don't anything SE does could get you down :P

I have to agree with you about the PL'n stuff too, partly. The PL killing the mobs, rather than acting as a healer for the party is a really pathetic way to get PL'd. They need to get rid of that kind of PL'n completely. The only thing I disagree with is the statement you made about it not affecting you O.O (that couldn't be further from the truth).

Remember, sooner or later, all these ppl who got PL'd to 50 will end up in a party with you, whether it's a raid, a random WNM fight, a leve, or something. And their lack of experience will definitely affect you :P
