Gunbreaker Weapons Glamour Broken?

So, I was trying to apply the Ruby Tide Gunblade glamour to my Augmented Shire Bayonet, but even though I am at lvl 65 GNB, it appears that it is incompatible to apply it. Has anyone else experienced this type of situation before?

You cant glam a higher level requirement item onto a lower one.

I don't believe you can equip a higher level glam on a lower level weapon then itself.

The shire weapon is lvl 60, while the Ruby Tide is probably 63.

You can equip a lower level glam on a higher level weapon but the opposite I don't believe is true. Otherwise we'd have people going around wearing lvl 15 weapons glammed as Ultimate Dreadwyrm ones.
