In wow the instance cap was introduced to reduce lag and help stabilize the server. I'm just really curious.

Edit: the 10 instance cap is only for an hour. After that you can do another 10 and wait another hour and again and again.
I'm not overly familiar with how wow does things but I can tell you about FFXIV:

There is no limit to how many dungeons you can do in any given time.

At best you will be doing about 3 dungeon runs per hour. at worst 1 or 2

There is a limit to how many instances can be open (this means anything that pulls you out of where you're standing right now is an instance) however it's only noticeable during lauch periods when the influx of players is massive.

tldr: nope.
