How do you handle server lags?

    Hey guys,

I haven't touched my crafters so far because I'm lazy and use macros for most of my crafts. However, since ShB hits the Servers have been a bit instable and tend to lag. I don't care too much about this as this is expected with a new expansion.

But here's my issue. As a macro addict I now experience cases where my macro backfires due to serverlag. How do you handle this? Just don't use macros at all right now or set the reaction time higher? <wait.5> for example instead of <wait.2>?

Pretty much this. I just set a higher time for wait.x and try to avoid crafting any big ticket items if even that isn't enough to remove the issue.

If lag is breaking your macro ...

Then craft by hand, without macros.

I would definitely just craft by hand all the time. I used macros at the start of SB for a few things and have been hand-crafting just about everything since then because I had those macros fail multiple times. Doing them by hand seems to be a little faster too, since there's not quite as much wait in between actions.

Well, with the amount of things I'm crafting relying completely on hand takes hours. But I'll consider using longer break downs and craft more important stuff by hand for now.

My internet isn't the most reliable so I always macro material and craft the final piece by hand. Not only is it slightly faster by hand, but you can learn an understanding of what your individual abilities do and how they work.

Macro crafting is *easier* because it is one to three buttons to press.

But it is not faster than manually crafting, and can actually be slower, depending on the delay you set for your actions.

So the time it takes to make what you want to make is not an argument for macro crafting, but at best a moot point, and at worst, an argument against macrocrafting.
