Playing on Mac with a PS4 Account

I apologize because I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but I don't even know where to begin to look for an answer.
I know I've got to buy a license to play on the Mac, but my question is do I need to buy the ARR license too, or can I just buy the shadowbringers expack? I know that there's a "complete edition," and I'm assuming I have to buy that, but I was hoping I could save a few dollars and just buy the expack.

You need to buy the complete game from ARR right through to ShB in order to be able to play on the Mac - this makes playing the same account on multiple platforms really expensive!

You need a different license for each platform. So, ARR for PS3/4 only works on PS. However, if you register them all on the same account you keep your characters and special editions. You only need one special edition for all platforms. So, in this case the guy above is correct. If you want Shadowbringers the Complete Edition is what you need for Mac. If you want the special edition stuff you can buy that in the Mog station as an account upgrade.

It only gets confusing if you use Steam for PC. My advice there is "don't".
