You need to be completely negligent with your MP to even lose Darkside.
If you lose Darkside, it's because you deserve it.

Yes. I have never dropped Darkside aside from getting incredibly distracted or dying or being out of combat for 20+ seconds. Everyone who claims that you can lose Darkside easily does something mysterious with their MP that I have to wonder if they actually have another ability than F/EoS and TBN to spend MP on...
