    Why it's impossible to drop Darkside (unless you are bad)

    The reason why I am posting this thread is to prove once for all that dropping Darkside should NEVER be an issue you should even think about.

    First of, Darkside is a 10% damage buff that lasts 30 seconds that can be refreshed and stacked up to 60 seconds applied to yourself on Edge/Flood of Shadow use.

    So basically, every time you hit Edge of Shadow or Flood of Shadow, you apply Darkside to yourself. This should be a no-brainer.

    Consider the following truths:
    - Your max MP is 10.000;
    - EoS/FoS cost is 3.000;
    - Syphon Strike recovers 1.000 MP
    - a GCD value of 2.4s
    - EoS/FoS and TBN are your only mana expenders.

    1# rotation: HS+(EoS/FoS -3000)>SS(+1000)>SE Total MP:8000/10000 Darkside: 24.8s
    2# rotation: HS>SS(+1000)>SE Total MP:9000/10000 Darkside: 17.6s
    3# rotation: HS>SS(+1000)>SE Total MP:10000/10000 Darkside: 10.4s
    4# rotation: HS>SS(+1000)>SE Total MP:11000/10000 Darkside: 3.2s
    5# rotation: HS>SS(+1000)... Total MP:12000/10000 Darkside: dropped.

    As you can see, without considering any other source of MP other than Syphon Strike, you need to spend 5 Souleater rotations without ever using EoS/FoS to finally drop Darkside.
    In a real scenario, your MP overflows much faster from natural regen, Dellirium and Blood Weapon.

    You need to be completely negligent with your MP to even lose Darkside.
    If you lose Darkside, it's because you deserve it.
    Get Good.

    Edit: Apparently it's too hard to understand that I told the readers to CONSIDER SS as 1000. In a real dummy setting, you already overflow your mana by the second rotation. You as a DRK have no other buttons to spend your mana that doesn't somehow convert it into Darkside time, you need to deliberately ignore your mana or how TBN works to achieve such weirdness.
