Started on my 6th zone in Shadowbringers.

1. Collect aether currents
2. Do enough fates to get increased mount speed.
3. Do quests for the locals to get upgraded gear and aether currents
4. Deal with the end boss eventually.

I've done this 5 times now. The only thing keeping my interest is how the "light" problem will be resolved.
