All these DC's and attacks have me super worried. Could ff14 servers go down for good? This game has been my second life ever since I found out about it. I love it so much, I mean, sure there are other games, but none are like ff14. Does anyone know if we could be facing an eternal shut down?

I think you might need to step away from the game and take a break if you think something like a DDOS attack is going to cause that big of an issue cause I can assure you, won't ever happen unless SE decides to shut down the servers themselves.

I doubt something like this is going to shut down the servers for good, don't worry about it. It happened in the other expac so it was to be expected it happens here. Things will get sorted out.

They experience DDoS attacks with every expansion launch because people are jerks, and yet it's still here and still functioning just fine for the most part. It'll be fine I promise.

I got so attached to the game that I tried to transfer my aether to the servers. The process was incomplete, so my body got stuck in the real world while I live in the servers now.

Can't say it's a lovely place when maintenance goes on.

The game might go offline for a few minutes maybe a day or so, but the game will be back.

even if the game shutdown by someone else (not by SE order), i doubt SE will stay quiet about that, this game is currently printing money faster than any SE game right now. they will do anything to keep the game alive.
