Did Primal crash?

I just logged in, started doing a dungeon with trusts, then experienced horrendous lag for several minutes before disconnecting.

I thought it might be my crappy WiFi but when I used my personal hotspot the lag continued.

Then it said the lobby server was down. Then it said ALL my characters across my account were didn’t log out properly. Finally, after several attempts, I got to the character select screen where I am currently 1,354 in the queue.

Did the data center crash?

Yes the NA servers crashed, probably another DDOS attack.

What are you talking about? This has only been the second NA wide service loss. Which compared to previous launches as well as other games' launches this is smooth as butter. On Balmung things have been steady as a rock, never had a queue bigger than 30 which is shocking for me.

God I still remember Stormblood and literally not being able to advance for an entire week because Raubahn Savage was being extra spicy with me. That coupled with the crashes, the long queues, and more have made this expansion release seem like a dream by comparison. I'll take two hard crashes almost a week in over the 10x that amount from last time. Especially since this might have been a targeted DDoS strike which they can't stop anyways.

I had it happen the other day after defeating the 79 trial boss. Luckily it started the cutscene over, so you may just have to rewatch what you did up to that part.
