What are you talking about? This has only been the second NA wide service loss. Which compared to previous launches as well as other games' launches this is smooth as butter. On Balmung things have been steady as a rock, never had a queue bigger than 30 which is shocking for me.

God I still remember Stormblood and literally not being able to advance for an entire week because Raubahn Savage was being extra spicy with me. That coupled with the crashes, the long queues, and more have made this expansion release seem like a dream by comparison. I'll take two hard crashes almost a week in over the 10x that amount from last time. Especially since this might have been a targeted DDoS strike which they can't stop anyways.

I went and ran some errands after my DC. Just got home.

And the login queue is 3093.

Hoping I didn't lose my progress. I had leveled GNB to 61 in the instance I was in, but the login screen says I'm still 60.

Got booted out, went to the store to buy groceries, came back to a more than 3000 player queue on BRYNHILDR, a PREFERRED realm on Crystal. Normally the queue is no more than a few dozen players. I am currently in position 1332.

I'm guessing it's just the servers being weird on account of the technical difficulties they're dealing with. Would be weird if your level got rolled back but I guess anything is possible.
