Another DDOS?

This reeks of ddos. all of Zalera went down. I was in the middle of a trial and had to log on temporarily as an alt or attempt to at least. Then log back on with my main. You would think that if square made priority for subs then a ddos attack would be out of the question. Apparently I was wrong.

I got dropped mid Fate too. saw everyone around me with DC icons. now the game wont even load to the lobby. get errors and the game closes. Lamia server

Wouldn't surprise me if they chose to attack again with the full release of Shadowbringers, distrupting the experience of those checking the game out.

Why does this game seem more vulnerable to these attacks than any other..

You would think though that they would have done it yesterday for maximum effect. Most players who started on the 28th or the 2nd are probably still playing though so I guess it wouldn't matter.

Honestly? I'm surprised we've had as much up time as we have. The servers have been under extreme stress from the minute early access went live, and have only went down because of outside forces out of SE's control. This could be the same thing happening, or it could also be the servers finally giving up the ghost.

Must be my bad luck then. I started playing again few weeks before the ShB early start, and there were still few connectivity issues here and there. The reason it is so noticeable to me is mainly because after playing "the game that shall never be named" its usually goes like this, you click play, it loads you select your character and your are in. Server downtime is usually 10-15 minutes.

This will take awhile to get used to but the game is worth it, was just hopeful Square updated their servers in my long absence =D

Well, this is inconvenient. I was on vacation until yesterday so I had only just logged in to start the new expansion when this DDoS hit. I was on a loading screen between Gridania and the West Shroud too, so I might be stuck in between zones.

Most games I have had experience with have had better protection against DDOS. It may have to do with the cross platform why it is so weak but there are temporary fixes a company can do to stop a DDOS that get servers back up for 5 min and repeat until the issue is solved. So either square is blind to it happening or doesn't have the system in place to counter it once the attacks started
