You can say that, but that wasn't how it worked before either. You can search for "open balmung" threads if you want. There are a million of them.

Well I know someone who wanted to be on aether who is related on cactuar but its full.

he's been waiting for a long time just so he can play with family members.

If they would get rid of the RMT and all the fake account names they made maybe there would be room for some people who actually play the game instead of spam prices of gil every 5 seconds.

Not gonna happen. They want to stabilize the population. Now that Primal is almost all filled up now too, they want new players to go to Crystal. There's nothing wrong with the players on Crystal, you find the same mix of great, good, bad, and awful as anywhere else.

I don't get why everyone wants to be on Aether. You can find a good raiding community on the other datacenter as well. People are just prejudiced that aether is the ONLY raiding community. I'd prefer a less populated Server over a Server where I have to wait hours to Login.

I moved my alt to aether, and to Gilgamesh of all places. I play it like 10 hours a month, but I have my spot.

In terms of general raid population, Aether=Crystal.

I hate to sound snooty, but if you truly cared about Savage Prog and getting it done asap, you need to be on a JP datacenter. Still, good luck meeting up with your friends (or trying at 1-6am PST, don't tell anyone)
