All I've ever seen is a cherry picked screenshot. That's it. They standardized the butts. They are all proportionally the same to the body. Just like everything else.

The thing is this. If you give players butt sliders, youre gonna need to give them other body sliders too (like waist, hips, chest, etc). For both males and females mind you. And it's not just because "Oh if you can do butts, why not 'x'" (which is a valid point), but rather that if you dont have other sliders, its gonna look a lot more odd because hte rest of the body shape wont look right. It's not like breasts because your butt size is a lot more closely related to hip structure than breasts are to the ribcage. If the model has more narrow or smaller hip box, having a huge butt on it is gonna look odd.

Noticeable is subjective. The fact that this issue came up at the time and that it was addressed by the development team at the time beats your personal "noticeable" 5+ years later.

I mean, if 5+ years later is your mark, why does it matter to you, someone who never played 1.0 and wouldn't know the difference.

5+ years is not my mark, it's related to when things happened. ARR was released in Aug of 2013 (not yet 6 years) . My post that you responded to was about whether it happened, not who notices or who cares. I thought that if there was a character creation benchmark it would be nice to compare in a controlled situation.

Today I can see three different pro butt change views:
    1. Those who actually played in 1.0 who feel slighted that their character was changed. People get attached to their characters, and what they are becomes part of their character’s identity. There are probably not a lot of people who are still around and salty about this, but(t) it's still conceivable.
    2. Those who are just not satisfied with how their character looks and try to use the previous issue as "leverage".
    3. People who are just interested in more options, who also may be citing the butt issue to add weight (pun intended) to their position.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O5SlQLVoTU

Looking at this video of the 1.0 benchmark the Miqo’te looks a little thicker in the legs to me, however the video is in 720p (1280x720) and I usually play at 1280x800. It shouldn’t change with different resolutions, but it does if the video was changed after the capture.

I personally would like my character to be a little thicker in the legs, but I think at this point it is unrealistic to expect 20 different sliders to be added.

I don’t think it’s unrealistic to ask for some variation. Maybe like 3 or 4 options:
    1. 2.0 butt
    2. 1.0 butt
    3. SWTOR female body 4 butt (that might be too much)

Maybe 3 levels of thickness for arms, tummy and legs? But even this would require considerable man-hours to implement, and you can expect issues.

I wonder. Why are there players against butt slider customization? Do they find it offensive or something? I’m genuinely curious, because I’ve noticed it’s 50% Yes and 50% No answers.

Some people like butts. Some people don't.

Its seen as frivolous. To implement it is not resource and money friendly. I mean, they could give us butt sliders, but we would need to sacrifice other things cosmetic. With finite money and manpower that's the way it works. The only way to change that is the buttslider group gets a fund together that would cover the cost of all of it.

Now I highly doubt they want buts enough to justify a half million dollar budget themselves. People are greedy and needy and entitled, the don't think through there requests.

I thought the same thing, but it's just another way for people to say they want something attractive or aesthetically pleasing to look at. The one time I looked at my characters but was when I was trying on a ring from an achievement. What I saw was an abomination and I can never unsee it.
