But it's not just "Spam Careful." Standard, Rapid, and Careful are all useful now and all three can be used to maximize your quality if you use them strategically with the orb colors and crafting skills like Fulfillment.

Before patch 1.21 = once I knew I could spam one button in order to get max exp as long as the RNG factor did not cause a "synthesis failed" after the button press, I did it and fell asleep from the monotony...

After patch 1.21 = once I knew I could press a certain "command" on a certain "orb color" in order to get max exp as long as the RNG factor did not cause a "synthesis failed" after entering the "command", I did it and still fell asleep from the monotony...

Crafting success is still, after patch 1.21, based on RNG and monotony - the chances to fall asleep are still the same and the chances to "fail" after each button press are a little lower then before patch 1.21 but still rely, in the end, on RNG for complete success...

And personally, I am completely in agreement with HiirNoivl - I want to be fully entertained by a game and not have to search for additional entertainment outside of a game while playing a game...

If FFXIV is not going to be that kind of game, that's ok - I just won't sub to it any longer and instead opt to play a game that is going to be that kind of game.
