What exactly does Congested mean and will it ever go away?

Hey so I am just making sure I read everything correctly. Congested worlds can not have character created characters start on them and I also saw that you can't home world transfer to them either. If this is true for our current state is there a time frame of when Siren will open back up for at least home world transfers? I ask because after years of trying to get her parents to play this game my girl friend convinced her parents to play. Only catch is we are here on Siren and at first when they told me they could not get on our server I told them that they could just start on any aether data center server so we could still play together and help them out when they need it. However the only available servers are on the crystal data center so now even though we got them invested into this game so we could all spend more time with each other since it is hard for us to meet up in real life, it is now just as difficult to meet them in this game.

So again I'm asking am I understanding what congested means correctly, and if so is it just a temporary thing we have to deal with or am I just never going to be able to play with any friends I introduce to this game again because that would mean giving up everything on Siren and aether?

So I found that congested is as I thought. So now I'm just wondering if it will be lifted in the near future?

Will it be lifted? Probably. When will it be lifted? Ive got no experience in this kinda thing, but id guess at least by the end of the month.

Servers are congested less because theres alot of players and more that the new expansion is out and theres lots of people playing at once. After a month or so, things should die down enough to remove the restrictions. Hopefully

Congested is a tag that Square manually applies to a world making it so character creation and transfer isn't possible until Square themselves manually remove the status. I don't get why Aether is still locked when many of the worlds on that data center are averaging the same login queue numbers as some of the servers on Crystal and Primal. I can't play with any of my friends because they are all on Aether...

No clue when they are going to lift it but they seem to be extremely lax with their congestion removal usually making people wait until the next patch before they remove it (and even then there is still the "Creation of New Characters Unavailable" tag). It's entirely possible that you might never get to play on Aether with them unless Square finally fixes their server structure that has been questionable for years now.

Exactly. My friend made a character on Mateus and I made an alt there as well, but the login queues are worse there than they are on Sargatanas, but even then not that bad. Please, SE, remove the congested status from servers that aren't actually congested! We'd like to actually play with our friends!
